Conner Roofing Co Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Roofing Estimator to support accurate job pricing, strong margins, and smooth project execution. This role plays a critical part in the success of both residential and light commercial projects by ensuring scopes are reviewed correctly and jobs are priced right the first time.

This is not a door-knocking or sales role. Instead, the Estimator works closely with ownership, sales, and production teams to deliver precise estimates that support profitable growth and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform roof inspections and accurate measurements for residential and light commercial projects

• Prepare detailed roofing estimates for:

  • Insurance restoration claims (hail and wind)

  • Retail roof replacement projects

• Review and interpret insurance scopes, including ACV and RCV

• Prepare supplements and supporting documentation as needed

• Accurately price labor, materials, overhead, and profit margins

• Utilize estimating software (Xactimate preferred)

• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and internal teams

• Maintain organized job files and thorough documentation

• Collaborate with ownership, sales, and production to ensure seamless project handoff

Qualifications

• Roofing estimating experience preferred; insurance restoration experience is a strong plus

• Working knowledge of Midwest roofing systems, including:

• Asphalt shingles

• Metal roofing

• Low-slope and flat roofing systems

• Familiarity with the Nebraska hail claims process

• Strong math skills with exceptional attention to detail

• Professional, customer-facing communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously

• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
