Job Description:

The Room Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms and related areas meet the hotel's established standards of cleanliness, order, and readiness for occupancy. This position coordinates with the dispatcher, front desk, and housekeeping team to ensure rooms are delivered on time according to guest arrivals. The Room Inspector also oversees the organization of housekeeping carts, monitors the cleanliness of hallways, storage, and public areas, and reports any maintenance or operational issues to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to verify cleanliness, condition, and readiness for occupancy.
  • Coordinate with the dispatcher and front desk to ensure timely room delivery based on occupancy.
  • Supervise and guide housekeepers and housemen to maintain company cleaning standards.
  • Ensure housekeeping carts and storage areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues or special requests promptly.
  • Maintain inspection logs and daily activity reports.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly used and stored.
  • Support the housekeeping supervisor in room assignments and task coordination.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lead housekeeping staff and ensure compliance with cleaning standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
