Working a 19:9 roster, flying from any capital city in Australia, Altrad is seeking an experienced Rope Access Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in supervising work teams to ensure that all work is completed safely, on schedule and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a strong Safety, Health and Environment culture, ensuring compliance with Altrad Golden Rules, Client Life Saving Rules, permits to work, risk assessments and site safety requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective customer relationships by proactively liaising with the client and internal stakeholders, providing progress updates and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Drive operational performance by planning, coordinating and supervising daily activities, including access methodologies, workforce allocation, materials, tooling, lifting requirements and schedule adherence.
  • Oversee quality assurance by ensuring work is executed in line with project specifications, inspection requirements, environmental conditions and client standards, including witness and hold points.
  • Manage and develop people and teams, providing supervision, coaching, mentoring and performance management while supporting diversity, trainees and workforce capability development.
  • Contribute to commercial and continuous improvement outcomes by monitoring progress, identifying efficiency opportunities, supporting estimating and planning activities, and assisting with cost‑effective delivery of work scopes.

About you

You’re a collaborative, and results‑driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys contributing to meaningful outcomes.

Site‑based experience in the energy, mining and/or construction industry, with 5+ years’ experience highly desirable, including exposure to Oil & Gas / LNG environments.

IRATA certified (minimum Level 1 required; Level 3 desirable) with at least 2 years’ Rope Access experience, preferably within an LNG or major projects setting.

Strong technical background, with coating application experience highly desirable and exposure to inspection frameworks (e.g. NACE CIP 2) considered advantageous.

Confident written and digital capability, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook, with the ability to prepare risk assessments, reports and job instructions to a high standard.

A positive and effective communicator who can influence and lead teams, work collaboratively across site functions, and remain flexible to undertake on‑site and off‑site tasks as required.
