Rotating Machinery SME

Our client is seeking a Rotating Machinery SME to interface with suppliers and ensure hardware design meets intent. Reporting to the System Design Manager , this role focuses on integrating and coordinating the work of engineers and system suppliers while fostering collaboration. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the design and manufacture of large nuclear fluid pumps.

Provide technical oversight to partners and subcontractors developing mechanical system designs for the Natrium reactor.

Coordinate and integrate analyses (thermal, seismic, structural, pipe stress, heat transfer) into plant design.

Ensure proper application of design codes (ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA, etc.).

Provide technical guidance on nuclear and non-nuclear design standards.
