Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support, including: Database error/alert monitoring & troubleshooting Database logs review and troubleshooting Database backup/recovery jobs/tasks review Performance monitoring and tuning Storage and capacity planning and management Database objects management Database change management Security/auditing Identify security gaps and vulnerabilities, identify and implement mitigations (e.g., patches) Installing, configuring, patching work related to projects User and profile management Create a Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) document to assist operational staff (non-DBAs) in their duties regarding Oracle database environments. Perform regular assessment of the existing Oracle databases/environments, and make recommendations regarding: Maintenance and leading practices.
