SAP HCM Consultant
Job Summary
The SAP HCM Consultant is responsible for thedesign, implementation, and supportof SAP Human Capital Management solutions in alignment with HR and business requirements. This role covers bothcore HR processes and talent managementwhile ensuring compliance with statutory and organizational policies.
The consultant must bring deep expertise acrossOrganizational Management, Personnel Administration, Time Management, Payroll, Learning, and Talent Development, as well as strong knowledge of integration withFinance, SuccessFactors, and other enterprise systems.
Key Process Knowledge
The consultant must demonstrate expertise in the following areas:
Organizational Management (OM)β Enterprise structure, positions, jobs, and reporting relationships.
Personnel Administration (PA)β Employee lifecycle processes (hire-to-retire), employee master data, contracts, and benefits.
Time Managementβ Work schedules, attendance, absence management, leave quotas, and time evaluation.
Payrollβ Payroll schema, rules, wage types, deductions, statutory compliance, and off-cycle payroll.
Compensation Managementβ Pay structure, benefits, bonuses, and rewards administration.
Learning & Development (L&D)β Training management, skills tracking, and employee development planning.
Talent Managementβ Recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and career development.
ESS/MSS (Employee & Manager Self-Service)β Portal and Fiori apps for HR self-services.
Integrationβ SAP HCM withFinance, SuccessFactors, SAP Payroll Control Center, and external payroll/benefits providers.
Complianceβ Local labor laws, tax rules, reporting, and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Conductrequirements gathering workshopswith HR and business stakeholders.
Configure SAP HCM modules coveringOM, PA, Time, Payroll, and Talent Management.
SupportESS/MSS implementationsto enable HR digitalization.
Collaborate withSAP SuccessFactors consultantsfor hybrid HCM landscapes.
Designintegration pointswith Payroll, Finance, and third-party HR solutions.
Provideuser training, documentation, and change managementsupport.
Leadpayroll testing and parallel runsto ensure accurate and compliant payroll execution.
Deliverstatutory and compliance reports(social insurance, taxation, labor laws).
Optimize HR processes throughautomation, workflows, and Fiori applications.
Providepost-go-live support and enhancements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications
Bachelorβs degree in HR, Business Administration, or Information Systems.
SAP Certified Application Associate βSAP HCM (ERP) and/or SAP SuccessFactors(preferred).
Experience
7β10 years of SAP HCM experience withfull lifecycle implementations.
Strong expertise inPayroll, Time, and Personnel Administration.
Hands-on experience withintegration to SAP SuccessFactors and Finance.
Experience inmulti-country payroll implementations(preferred).
Technical & Functional Skills
Deep configuration knowledge inOM, PA, Time, Payroll, and ESS/MSS.
Knowledge ofSAP Payroll Control Center and Fiori apps.
Experience withcompliance reporting and statutory payroll rules.
Familiarity withcloud integration middleware(e.g., CPI, PI/PO).
Soft Skills
Strong stakeholder management withHR business teams.
Analytical problem-solving skills forHR/payroll issues.
Effective communicator with ability to explainHR processes in business terms.
Strong focus ondata accuracy, compliance, and user adoption.
