Job Description – Record to Report (RTR)

Role: Record to Report (RTR)

Location: Chennai / Hyderabad

Experience: 1–10 years (SPE / SME / TL)

Job Summary:

The Record to Report (RTR) professional will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting activities, month-end close processes, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform end-to-end Record to Report activities

Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

Prepare and post journal entries

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations

Review profit & loss accounts and variance analysis

Handle accruals, provisions, and reclassifications

Prepare financial reports and schedules

Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal audits

Support external and internal audits

Coordinate with onshore/client teams

Identify process improvement opportunities

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of GL accounting and financial reporting

Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle preferred)

Good understanding of US GAAP / IFRS

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work in tight deadlines and month-end cycles

Experience Level Mapping (Typical):

SPE: 1–3 years (Core RTR & GL activities)

SME: 4–7 years (Complex reconciliations, reporting, audits)

TL: 7+ years (Team handling, reviews, client interaction)

Education:

Any graduates

Experience & Salary Structure:

SPE: 1 to 3 years | CTC up to 5.5 LPA

SME: 4 to 7 years | CTC up to 7.5 LPA

TL (on papers): 7 to 10 years | CTC up to 11.5 LPA
