Job Description

The Safety Engineer will ensure effective implementation of safety standards at construction sites, enforce statutory compliance, minimize risks, and promote a safe working culture across all real estate projects.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Monitor site activities, conduct daily inspections, and identify safety hazards.




  • Ensure strict compliance with PPE usage, safety protocols, and safe operation of equipment.




  • Implement company EHS policies and statutory safety guidelines; maintain safety signage and fire-fighting equipment.




  • Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, workshops, and emergency drills.




  • Maintain safety reports, incident records, inspection checklists, and audit documentation.




  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety norms and regulations (ISO, OSHA, NBC, etc.).




  • Identify unsafe conditions, investigate incidents/near misses, and recommend corrective actions.




  • Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and project teams for safe work planning, especially for high-risk activities.




  • Review and audit method statements and risk assessments (MSRA).




Experience:




  • 5–8 years of experience in construction/real estate safety management.




Skills & Competencies:




  • Strong knowledge of EHS standards, risk assessment, and statutory requirements.




  • Good communication, training, and emergency-handling skills.




  • Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, leadership, and strong observational skills.




  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety reporting tools.
