Job Description
:
Assisting the Project Manager in implementing the guidelines given in this document including review of risk assessment.
Inspect the work site daily to report and correct unsafe methods and n conditions. Making on-the spot corrections of unsafe acts of the workmen and taking suitable steps to eliminate all the unsafe conditions. He will give an inspection report to the Project Manager every day and a copy to head office HSEM.
Organizing the inspection of ladders, power tools and machinery on a regular basis.
Keep a permanent record of all injuries, fires, property damage and crane/ heavy equipment accidents, which have occurred at the site.
Conducting monthly safety meeting and keeping record of safety meeting on site complete with subject discussed and a list of attendees.
Ensure adequate fire and safety equipment and PPEs are available at the work site and used by workforce.
Ensure all operatives have undergone site safety induction and are aware of all site safety rules.
Monitor all lifting equipment and accessories / tackles are certified and have a valid Colour code.
Advise on the effectiveness and issue of the personal protective equipment and encourage / enforce use on site.
Ensure permits to work are available and related conditions are being continuously implemented.
Ensure continuous safety watch is provided in hazardous areas and works categorized as hazardous.
Attend safety and operational meetings and toolbox meetings.
Ensure safety bulletins are updated and posted at prominent places.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly safety reports.
Ensure accidents and near miss incidents are reported promptly and investigations are done and recorded in case of an accident or near miss incident.
Encourage the workers to follow the safe working procedures.
Initiate and nominate workers for safety awards.

➡️0-1 years of experience as Safety Officer (Construction industry
experience is also considered)
➡️Diploma in Fire & Safety / NEBOSH Certification is mandatory.
➡️Local language proficiency & basic communication in English
