Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Functionally reporting to the Corporate Safety Department and administratively reporting to the Project Manager/Project In-Charge.
• Monitor the implementation of the OSH Procedures & Safety Plan at the project site.
• Monitor project site compliance with standards and procedures promulgated by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Bureau of Working Conditions, Health and Safety Division.
• Conduct safety educational training/orientation for all levels at the project site prior to work.
• Conduct accident investigations, analyze and formulate recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct daily safety inspections in the workplace to ensure protection of the workers and environment.
• Conduct periodic safety walkthroughs with the PM / PIC.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks.
• Issue stop-work orders if work shows potential hazards or imminent danger.
