Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course
  • At least 1 year experience as Safety Officer 2 or 3
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Completed the required DOLE-accredited Safety Officer Training (BOSH, COSH, and First Aid Training)
  • Knowledgeable in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards
  • Familiar with DOLE Department Order No. 198-18 and RA 11058
  • Ability to conduct:
    • Workplace safety inspections
    • Risk assessment (HIRAC)
    • Accident/incident investigation
  • Knowledgeable in:
    • emergency preparedness and response
    • First aid and basic life support (preferred)
    • Good documentation and reporting skills
  • Able to conduct safety orientations and toolbox meetings
    • Detail-oriented and capable of enforcing safety rules
  • Good communication and coordination skills
