Safety Specialist

Role Summary

The position holder assists the SHES Supervisor in administering plans related to Safety and Health to meet and improve the safety performance of the project and facilities. The position holder also ensures the implementation of OSH programs are in compliance with the government regulations and company policies.

Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities

• Completes site hazard and safety analysis on Safety and document details in the site plan.
• Drafts an effective Safety plan with appropriate safety standards to curb potential accidents and incidents.
• Effective management of OSH programs through inspection, audit, and validation for proper implementation.
• Handles renewal of OSH permits and licenses and constantly monitors to avoid fines and penalties.
• Address all OSH non-compliance issues through effective communication and coordination with functional teams.
