The position

As a Surveillance Specialist at Novo Nordisk, you will:Establish and maintain the product safety profile by performing critical safety data analysis and leading pharmacovigilance planning.Conduct signal detection and evaluation to identify potential safety concerns and provide expert evaluation for literature review, analysis, and interpretation.Provide expert opinion on benefit-risk assessments and contribute to risk management strategies.Contribute to the study designs and safety monitoring strategy of clinical study protocols.Support the development and maintenance of core reference safety information and participate in product labelling processes.Ensure appropriate safety interpretation and conclusions are documented in regulatory reports.Represent Safety Surveillance in safety-related discussions with regulatory authorities, external consultants, and partners.Build strong working relationships across functions, demonstrate leadership in a matrix environment, and coach and mentor team members QualificationsTo be our ideal candidate, you will need:Medical Degree (MBBS or MD) from an accredited institution. Extensive experience in signal management, risk management plans (RMP), and handling aggregate reports. Minimum 12 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or patient safety, with proven delivery.Strong understanding of drug development and regulatory frameworks.Ability to interpret epidemiological data and apply integrative thinking.Nice to have strong project ,stakeholder management skills, innovative mindset with contributions to long-term strategy and process improvements. About the department The Safety Surveillance Adviser team at Global Patient Safety (GPS) is based in Bangalore, India. The team is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and communicating the safety profile of Novo Nordisk products across their lifecycle. With a focus on therapeutic portfolios covering Diabetes, Obesity, and Rare Diseases, the team collaborates closely with global hubs in Søborg, Denmark, and other partner teams.
