Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides quality patient care within the scope of professional nursing practice. Responsible and accountable for providing individualized care, having a working knowledge of Surgical Program philosophy, objectives and policies as well as ORNAC standards.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active registration with ANBLPN
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year recent (within last 5 years) operating room experience or successful completion within last 5 years of an approved Operating Room Technician course. If no one meets the qualifications, top applicant must successfully complete PeriOp 101 course.
  • Demonstrated assessment skills and ability to respond to emergent situations and prioritize care
  • Good work and attendance record
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Willing to participate in continuing education/certification programs
