Role Overview:
VicOne is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager to drive growth and support technical engagements in India’s automotive cybersecurity market. This hybrid role combines strategic business development with hands-on technical expertise to build strong customer relationships, deliver tailored solutions, and expand VicOne’s footprint across OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and key industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in India’s automotive cybersecurity sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
- Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Represent VicOne at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand awareness.
Sales Engineering:
- Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, including product demonstrations and workshops.
- Act as a liaison between customers and VicOne’s engineering/product teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements.
- Develop and deliver customized technical proposals and solutions.
- Support post-sales activities such as installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of VicOne’s solutions.
- Assist in creating technical sales materials including datasheets, case studies, and whitepapers.
- Participate in technical forums and panel discussions to build thought leadership.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product development to relay customer feedback and influence the product roadmap.
- Provide regular updates and performance reports to the sales head.
- Stay informed about competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards in automotive cybersecurity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in sales, business development, or sales engineering, preferably in the automotive or cybersecurity industry.
- Strong understanding of automotive cybersecurity technologies and standards.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in public speaking and participating in industry panels is a plus.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel within India and the AMEA region as required.
