Job Title: Sales Engineer

Location: Chennai

Travel Requirement: Extensive travel across West & North India (approximately 2 weeks per month)

Regions Covered: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi & NCR, Uttar Pradesh

Industry Verticals: Industrial, Aerospace, Automotive

CTC: 8 12 LPA (Performance-based incentives in addition to fixed salary)

Reporting To: Sales Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to manage and grow business across West and North India for a specialized industrial tooling product portfolio. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a lean organizational setup and capable of handling multiple responsibilities. Approximately 70% of the role involves customer visits, relationship building, participation in trade shows, and providing technical product support.


Product Portfolio

Industrial tooling and workholding components, including but not limited to:

  • Quick-change tooling plates & accessories
  • Hoist rings
  • Toggle clamps
  • Handles, knobs, ball & spring plungers
  • Threaded inserts, clamp straps
  • Drill bushings, alignment pins
  • Fixture bases and power workholding devices

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned sales targets and drive business growth
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand customer base and strengthen market presence
  • Build, manage, and nurture long-term customer relationships by understanding client needs
  • Visit customers regularly and provide technical product support
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare sales, revenue, expense reports, and forecasts
  • Identify new markets, emerging opportunities, and competitive trends
  • Support sales team development through goal setting, coaching, and performance monitoring

Requirements & Skills

  • Engineering degree with 6+ years of experience in Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures, or related industries
  • Proven experience in sales roles with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Strong understanding of industrial tooling and workholding solutions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage the complete sales cycle from planning to closure
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Exposure to customer-facing roles across multiple regions
  • Language proficiency: English & Hindi
