PowerSync Technologies is an Australian energy technology company specialising in the orchestration, optimisation, and market integration of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs). The company focuses on Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers, providing real‑time control and monetisation of DER assets such as battery energy storage systems (BESS), flexible loads, and embedded generation. Our innovative platform operates within the National Electricity Market (NEM).
Role Description
This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Commercial Manager based in Sydney or Melbourne, with some work‑from‑home flexibility. The Commercial Manager will oversee business development with large commercial and industrial energy users.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales Execution : Identify, pursue, and convert new commercial opportunities across target markets.
- Account Growth : Manage and expand relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Pipeline Management : Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, reporting progress through CRM (Monday.com).
- Proposal Development : Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and commercial offers, tailored to customer needs.
- Market Intelligence : Identify market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Negotiation & Closing : Lead commercial discussions through to contract execution.
- Collaboration : Work closely with technical, operations, and marketing teams to ensure customer success and aligned delivery.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in business development, commercial management, or sales — preferably in energy, renewables, technology, or related sectors
- Strong track record in delivering and exceeding sales targets
- Skilled in commercial negotiation and deal structuring
- Excellent relationship‑building skills with C‑level and operational stakeholders
- Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and deliver results without extensive support structures
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Monday.com preferred)
