Job Title: Sales Lead – Offline (Founding Team – Soon to launch beverage brand)
Location: Gurgaon
Reporting to: Founders
Scope: Offline/Physical Trade covering Modern & General Trade, and Specialized channels including Cafes & Restaurants, Corporates, etc.
The Role
We are a stealth-mode startup in the functional beverage category, preparing to launch a premium portfolio across India. We are looking for an experienced Offline Sales Lead to join our founding team. This role is responsible for the brand’s physical footprint—building out our distribution network, managing retail partnerships, and ensuring our premium positioning is maintained across shelves in modern & general trade, high-end retail, Ho Re Ca channels and corporate hubs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Strategy & Network Building
Modern & General Trade (MT): Drive listings in premium national and regional chains, and high-end grocers prioritizing Delhi NCR to start
Ho Re Ca: Target "A-Class" Cafes & Restaurants unlocking partnerships with key cultural hotbeds, driving a strong brand and product experience for the partner and their consumer
Specialized Channels: Drive placement in non-traditional outlets such as premium gyms, corporate spaces, co-working spaces, and airport retail.
2. Distribution & Operations
Distributor Management: Identify, appoint, and manage a network of reliable distributors to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
On-Shelf Execution: Ensure perfect execution of Planograms, Share of Shelf (So S), and visual merchandising in-store.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels at the distributor and retail levels to ensure optimum stock levels, and manage expiries/returns.
3. Commercial Strategy & Trade Marketing
Promotional Planning: Design and execute offline trade schemes, consumer promotions, and sampling activations to drive trial.
Pricing & Margin Management: Ensure price parity across channels and manage trade margins to ensure a profitable yet competitive distribution model.
Sampling & Activations: Collaborate with the brand team to lead in-store or event-based sampling to introduce the product to our core demographic.
4. Team & Relationship Management
Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Category Managers and Purchase Heads.
Field Leadership: As the team grows, provide leadership and training to field sales representatives or third-party promoters.
P&L Responsibility: Own the sales targets and trade marketing budget for the offline channel, focusing on ROI-driven growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Professional Experience: 4–7 years in Offline Sales/Key Account Management within the FMCG (Beverage/Snacks) or Premium Lifestyle sectors.
Network: Existing relationships with Modern Trade category managers and premium distributors in Key Cities (specifically NCR) is a major plus.
On-Ground Rigor: A strong understanding of the "beat" system, retail auditing, and the nuances of the Indian physical retail landscape.
Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Business or a related field.

Detail Oriented: Obsessed with how the product looks on the shelf and how the brand is being represented at the point of purchase.
Resourceful: Willing to be hands-on in the market while simultaneously building high-level strategic partnerships.
