Our client is a growing freight forwarding and logistics organisation expanding footprint across India and Provides end-to-end logistics solutions across Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and multimodal services. They are looking to expand the sales team.


Sales Manager

Based in Chennai, India


Overview: As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing key accounts, and driving revenue growth in the assigned region. The role involves a mix of new business development, key account management, and team leadership, depending on location and scale.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business acquisition across Ocean and/or Air Freight services
  • Develop and manage a strong customer pipeline in the assigned region
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and trade partners
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets and revenue growth
  • Coordinate closely with Customer Service and Operations teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence for management
  • Mentor and guide junior sales team members where applicable



Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding / logistics sales
  • Strong understanding of Ocean Freight and/or Air Freight solutions
  • Proven track record in hunting new business and managing key accounts
  • Good knowledge of local trade lanes, customers, and pricing dynamics
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
