Job Description: Sales Operations Manager



The Sales Operations Manager will play a critical role in streamlining end-to-end sales processes while ensuring strong compliance with global trade regulations. This position acts as a strategic link between Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Compliance teams to drive operational excellence, regulatory adherence, and sustainable, profitable business growth.



Key Responsibilities Sales Operations Management



+ Oversee the complete sales operations lifecycle (quote-to-delivery), including order management, sales forecasting, pricing support, and preparation of MIS and management reports.

+ Drive effective CRM utilization (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring data accuracy, process consistency, and enhanced pipeline visibility to support revenue and growth objectives.

+ Partner closely with Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to strengthen quote-to-cash efficiency, improve order fulfillment, and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

+ Support sales planning, performance tracking, and cadence reviews through actionable insights and analytics.



Trade Compliance Oversight



+ Ensure compliance with global and regional trade regulations, including import/export laws, customs requirements, sanctions, and embargoes.

+ Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to maintain accurate trade documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, HS codes, ECCN, etc.) and ensure timely, compliant shipments.

+ Monitor regulatory changes and proactively implement updates to business processes, controls, and training to mitigate compliance risks.

+ Act as a key point of contact for trade compliance queries and escalations related to sales and order processing.



Process & Policy Development



+ Develop, document, and enforce SOPs for sales operations and trade compliance workflows.

+ Define, track, and analyze KPIs to identify operational gaps, improve efficiency, and drive continuous process improvements.

+ Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

+ Lead or contribute to cross-functional process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.



Skills & Qualifications



+ Strong working knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, HS codes, and trade compliance documentation standards.

+ Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

+ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Compliance teams.

+ High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.



Experience Requirements



+ **Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience** in Sales Operations, Order Management, Trade Compliance, or a related role.

+ Proven experience supporting global or regional sales teams and managing cross-border transactions is strongly preferred.



Educational Qualifications & Preferred Certifications



+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Commerce, or a related field.

+ Postgraduate qualification (MBA/PGDM) is a plus.

+ Preferred certifications (nice to have):

+ Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP)

+ Certified Export Specialist (CES)

+ Trade Compliance or Customs Certification

+ Salesforce or ERP system certification
