Overview

Join the Sales Team Lead role at ASICS EMEA located in Barcelona. This position supports the growth of wholesale accounts, drives profitable market share expansion, and collaborates closely with Trade Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance teams to deliver brand heat and consumer activation plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive the development of the ASICS brand business and assigned customer portfolio, ensuring consistent implementation of the sales strategy.
  • Develop account strategies, Seasonal Account Plans, and secure approval from the Head of Sales.
  • Provide realistic plans and forecasts on customer performance and ensure compliance with agreements.
  • Support external communication with annual, seasonal, and quarterly sales campaigns, manage business analysis, and oversee the financial process.
  • Supervise sell‑in meetings, manage seasonal product assortments, and agree on sell‑out support in conjunction with Marketing and Merchandising.
  • Serve as ambassador for the customer portfolio, drive joint strategic business and category plans, and provide accurate reporting of the account.
  • Understand sales flow and actively seek reorders and close‑out opportunities within the customer portfolio.
  • Set regular prioritized meetings with customers.
  • Monitor continuous sell‑out, order book, and supply, ensuring cost‑efficient supply and customer compliance with ASICS contracts.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Financial teams to guarantee excellent customer management.
  • Measure progress on own KPIs and report to all superiors following all guidelines.
  • Monitor and report customer and competitor activities, propose initiatives, and maximize ASICS sales and market share.
  • Represent the customer portfolio internally as ambassador toward sales and marketing communities on global and local levels and manage all interfaces.
  • Manage a team of Key Account Executives and Sales Reps, set objectives, targets, and guidelines.
  • Develop functional and core skills of direct reports through coaching, 1‑2‑1 sessions, and mentoring, ensuring smooth cooperation across all interfaces.
Qualifications
  • University degree preferably in Business, Sports Economics, International Management, Marketing, or Sales.
  • 7‑8 years relevant work experience, 5 years of industry experience preferably in sports, FMCG, or footwear, apparel, and accessories.
  • Strong industry knowledge across footwear, apparel, and accessories or FMCG background.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Well‑rounded sales expertise and ability to work cross‑functionally.
  • Negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Analytical and strategic skills to analyse data and drive strategic decision making.
  • Presentation and strong communication skills: English and Spanish written and oral.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Availability to travel.
