Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer
Engagement Model: Offshore / Remote
Location: India (preferred), other offshore acceptable
Work Hours: Must support US time-zone overlap
Project Type: Large-scale SAP ABAP Factory delivery supporting multi-stream SAP initiatives
Duration: Long-term (12+ months)
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
1. Develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP objects across multiple functional workstreams.
2. Work on standards and custom development, including:
3.Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF/RICEFW)
4.OData services
5.CDS Views, AMDP, and modern ABAP (S/4HANA)
6.Workflow, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits
7. Participate in ABAP Factory delivery model:
8. Receive work packets
9. Deliver code, unit-test results, and technical documentation
10. Adhere to development SLAs, quality gates, and naming conventions
11. Collaborate with onsite coordinators and client teams in the US time zone.
12. Resolve defects, conduct performance tuning, and support integration testing cycles.
13. Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and client coding standards.
Required Experience
3–10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
Strong expertise in:
1.RICEF/RICEFW
2.OO-ABAP
3.BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancements
4.SmartForms, Adobe Forms
5.Data Dictionary Objects
6.Experience with S/4HANA ABAP:
7.CDS Views
8.OData
9. AMDP
10.UI5 exposure is a plus
11.Experience working in an offshore–onsite model preferred.
12.Ability to work with global teams and follow structured factory delivery processes.
Good-to-Have Skills:
1.SAP UI5 / Fiori development experience
2.SAP BTP environment exposure
3.Workflow development
4. Knowledge of SAP integration technologies
5.Prior experience in large enterprise transformations
6.Required Soft Skills
7.Strong communication and documentation skills
8.Ability to interpret work packets independently
9. Commitment to deadlines and delivery SLAs
10. Ability to escalate risks proactively
