SAP ABAP Engineer

Job Summary:

Were seeking a dynamic and strategic SAP ABAP Engineer to lead the operations for our Vedanta Groups Bangalore.

Responsibilities:

Part of SAP GOC services team and responsible for end-to-end development of applications

Understand business and functional requirements and translate it into technical solutions.

Responsible for design, coding, testing and documentations.

ability to multi-task and handle time sensitive issues quickly and effectively

Ability to establish strong IT value to the business, accelerate delivery of projects and increase quality.

Flexibility to work on functional incident fix in SD area.

Should know ABAP ON HANA functionalities and conversant with the same.

Requirements :

Strong Technical experience with 3 to 5 years in ABAP development primarily must have a strong working knowledge on ABAP development, Advanced ABAP (Object Oriented Programming)

Should know ABAP on HANA and able to support during the transition phase to HANA

Should understand the existing ECC code and make it relevant to HANA S4 system independently

Should be able to debug production issues quickly and pinpoint issues in Production in a quick and efficient manner

Should be a hard-core Developer with functional knowledge of SD / HANA

Hands-on experience in Reports, Module Pool, Sap Scripts, Forms, ALV Reports, ALE/IDOC, service gateway / integrations, BADIs, BAPI's, Transactions, SAP Queries, Object Oriented programming

Exposure on SAP UI5, S4 HANA

Hands on Knowledge on HTML, SAP Service Gateways, RESTFUL Services

Exposure in SAP functional areas with an understanding of SAP finance, Logistics

End-user support in ECC and work with stakeholders to provide end to end resolution.

Experience in implementation, upgrade and support projects

Understanding of release and change management process

Excellent oral and written communication skills (interpersonal and client-facing)

Open and flexible for learning new skills as needs.

Flexible to work on SD functional issues as needed.

Desirable working with Service now, JIRA

Knowledge:

Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience

Individual Contributor with 3 to 5 years work experience in IT field

Work Location : Bengaluru

Experience : 7-9 Yrs.
