Sap Abap Rap Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP RAP Consultant with strong expertise in the RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) to design, develop, and support modern SAP S/4HANA applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building Fiori-based, service-oriented applications using RAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using SAP ABAP RAP in S/4HANA
• Build and expose CDS Views, OData services, and Business Objects
• Implement behavior definitions, validations, determinations, and actions
• Develop and enhance Fiori Elements applications
• Work on clean core and extensibility concepts
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning
• Provide support for production issues and enhancements
• Ensure coding standards and best practices are followed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP RAP
• Good understanding of S/4HANA architecture
• Experience with CDS Views, OData V4, and Fiori Elements
• Knowledge of BOPF / EML (preferred)
• Familiarity with SAP BTP and side-by-side extensions is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Good to Have

• Experience with SAP UI5
• Knowledge of S/4HANA upgrades or greenfield implementations
• Exposure to performance optimization and security concepts
