We are currently seeking a SAP ABAP Senior Consultant to join our team in Remote, Andhra Pradesh (IN-AP), India (IN).

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior SAP ABAP Consultant to design, develop, and implement complex solutions within our SAP landscape. With a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience, the ideal candidate will act as a technical expert, translating complex business requirements into high-quality technical solutions, and providing mentorship to junior team members. This role requires strong proficiency in both classical and modern ABAP development practices, with a focus on optimizing system performance and ensuring seamless integration across various SAP modules and external systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Development: Design, develop, code, document, and execute unit and integration tests for complex ABAP programs, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW objects).
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Modern SAP Technologies: Develop and optimize solutions using modern ABAP practices, including Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP), Core Data Services (CDS) views, ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP), and the ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP).
  • Fiori/UI5 Development: Hands-on experience with Fiori/UI5 app enhancements, custom Fiori apps, and building/optimizing OData services for front-end integration.
  • Performance Optimization: Perform performance analysis, tuning, and optimization of existing ABAP programs and system integrations using tools like Code Inspector, SQL Trace (ST05), and Runtime Analysis (SAT).
  • Integration: Drive the integration of SAP with non-SAP systems using various technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and APIs.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Act as a technical expert for troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex production issues, ensuring timely solutions and minimal business disruption.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and coach junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, design specifications, and test cases.
  • Project Lifecycles: Participate in full-cycle SAP implementation projects (including all phases from blueprint to go-live support), upgrades, and migrations, particularly to SAP S/4HANA.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of extensive, hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in classical and Object-Oriented ABAP programming.
  • Expertise in RICEFW development (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
  • Strong knowledge of data migration techniques (LSMW, BDC, BAPI, IDoc, LTMC).
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, CDS views, AMDP, and OData services.
  • Proficiency in form development using Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms.
  • Hands-on experience with Fiori/UI5 and SAP Gateway development.
  • Knowledge of integration technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead development efforts.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills in a cross-functional environment.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP Certification(s) in ABAP Development or S/4HANA.
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and side-by-side extensibility.
  • Functional knowledge in core SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, HR).
  • Experience with Agile or ASAP project methodologies.
