SAP Automotive Consultant

Role Description

We are seeking a skilled SAP Automotive Consultant specialising in delivering, implementing, and supporting SAP solutions tailored for the automotive industry covering OEMs, suppliers, and dealership networks. The consultant plays a strategic role in optimizing end‑to‑end vehicle lifecycle processes, supply chain operations, production, sales, and after‑sales services using SAP Automotive (IS‑AUTO) components.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and customize SAP Automotive (IS‑AUTO) modules to support client‑specific business needs.
• Perform system design, functional specifications, integration testing, and deployment activities.
• Provide expert support across core automotive business processes, including but not limited to

Vehicle Order Management (VOM)

Dealer Management System (DMS)

Warranty and Claims Management

Production Planning & Logistics Execution

Sales, Distribution, and Billing (SD)

• Configure and support Vehicle Management System (VMS) functionalities
• Manage variant configuration (VC) for complex automotive product structures
• Implement end‑to‑end Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) structuring, tracking, and data consistency
• Integrate Automotive modules with core SAP components such as

SD (Sales & Distribution)

MM (Materials Management)

PP (Production Planning)

FI/CO

EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)

• Collaborate closely with business users, dealership teams, OEM stakeholders, and cross‑functional SAP teams
• Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and document functional specifications
• Provide post‑implementation support and troubleshooting
• Recommend industry‑best practices and continuous process improvements
• Ensure system performance, compliance, and quality of deliverables.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or related field
• SAP Automotive or relevant SAP module certifications preferred.
• Hands‑on experience in SAP IS‑AUTO, VMS, VC, DMS, and related automotive SAP components
• Hands‑on integration knowledge with SD/MM/PP/FI‑CO/EWM
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA
• Hands‑on experience and understanding of automotive industry processes (OEM, Tier‑1 suppliers, dealership operations)
• Expertise in vehicle lifecycle processes and configuration management
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to lead workshops and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences
• Experience working in multi‑country, distributed delivery environments
• Experience working with connected automotive systems, telematics, or mobility solutions
• Understanding of EDI, supply chain integrations, and OEM compliance standards
