Overview

Location: Remote, Client is located in Los Angeles, CA. Schedule: Must cover PST hours.

truData is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to support and maintain its direct client’s SAP landscape hosted on Linux. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Windows Server and Linux environments, with deep hands-on experience managing SAP Basis operations, performance tuning, and system reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain SAP systems across development, QA, and production landscapes.
  • Perform system refreshes, client copies, transports, kernel upgrades, and patch management.
  • Ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of SAP systems hosted on Azure.
  • Manage and troubleshoot SAP instances on Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to resolve system issues promptly.
  • Maintain security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures in line with standards.
  • Support change and release management processes.

Qualifications

  • Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of SAP Basis Administration experience.
  • Strong experience with Linux administration.
  • Working knowledge of Azure infrastructure and cloud-hosted SAP systems.
  • Experience with SAP installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP HANA and S/4HANA system administration experience.
  • Familiarity with Azure monitoring and automation tools.
  • SAP certifications a plus.
