About the job:

  • Own the stability, performance, and security of our SAP landscape


  • Act as the bridge between IT and the business, turning needs into solid technical solutions




  • Work globally with IT teams, users, and vendors to keep systems running smoothly




  • Drive continuous improvement, reliability, and operational efficiency


    • In your future role as SAP Basis Manager, you will:


  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, GRC, FSCM, TM, GTS, etc.)




  • Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and overall system health




  • Lead upgrades, migrations, and cloud initiatives (SAP RISE, Azure)




  • Manage security, user access, SOX/GDPR compliance, and vulnerability remediation




  • Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies




  • Troubleshoot complex issues and lead incident war rooms when needed




  • Manage transports, integrations, and interfaces (SAP & non-SAP)




  • Act as Problem Manager for recurring incidents and service improvements




  • Coordinate vendors and ensure SLAs and service levels are met




  • Support projects, handovers, and continuous landscape optimization




  • Keep documentation, CMDB, and operational reporting up to date


    • We believe you bring:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar




  • 8+ years in SAP Basis (L2/L3) + 5+ years supporting SQL databases




  • Strong experience with:

    SAP HANA (HA, DR, multi-tenancy, restore/recovery)

    SQL Server

    Windows Server, RHEL, AIX

    Cloud (SAP RISE, Azure)



  • Solid knowledge of SAP architecture and print management




  • Familiar with SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, SAC, Cloud Foundry




  • Experience in manufacturing / process industry is a plus




  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skills




  • Comfortable leading global, cross-functional initiatives




  • Fluent English (written & spoken)




  • Self-driven, structured, and quality-focused

  • This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to our IM Manager in the Netherlands.
