Role - SAP BTP Integration Consultant

Location – Offshore India remote

Job Description -

A. SAP & Integration Expertise (8–10+ years)

• Deep experience as a SAP BTP Integration Developer .
• Hands-on expertise with:
• SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh)
• SAP S/4HANA integrations (architecture, capabilities, migration)
• SAP PI/PO (PI, BPM, BRM) as the central integration broker
• SAP BODS (6–8 years) for ETL, migration, SAP/non-SAP integrations
• Experience designing & implementing complex integration interfaces for S/4 on BTP/IS.

B. Migration & Custom Code Experience

• At least two S/4HANA migration projects with emphasis on:
• Custom code remediation
• Cross-system interface alignment
• Legacy-to-SAP migration using Rapid Deployment Solutions

C. Application & Architecture Skills

• Strong understanding of:
• FIORI architecture , Launchpad config, app integration, extensions
• UI5 , RAP , CAPM
• Integration patterns (point-to-point, API-led, event-driven, synchronous/asynchronous)
• Experience integrating S/4 with third-party, hybrid-cloud, multi-cloud systems.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Ability to analyze the data configuration between SAP S/4 and non-SAP applications to ensure uninterrupted transfer of information.

Be able to advise on corrective action on any failures through the Data flow.

Required Experience:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the SAP space, with a focus on creating and implementing global-grade applications. They should have worked on at least two migration projects involving SAP S/4 HANA, with a special emphasis on fixing custom code issues. In addition, the candidate should possess a solid understanding of FIORI architecture, Launchpad configuration, app integration, and extension. They should also be knowledgeable about ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM), and SAP UI5. Finally, extensive experience with SAP BTP, specifically in the areas of integrations, SAP Build, and process extensions, is highly desirable.

A detailed understand and experience (6-8 years) with SAP BODS environments particularly integration SAP and non-SAP systems.

Preferred Experience:

-Exposure to SAP Integrations with B2B/EDI/IDOC,

-Good understanding of several functional areas such as FI, SD, MM, PP, PS, and WM

-Experience in developing rich internet applications. (AJAX/ JavaScript/ JSON/ JAVA/ J2EE)

-Experience with the Cloud Foundry, Kyma, and multi-cloud BTP environment.

-Working knowledge of Groovy Scripts and XML, XSLT.

-Experience with multi-tier / hybrid-cloud system development for large enterprises.

-Knowledge of the agile development process, development best practices, system architecture, design, implementation, and test automation.

Skills

• At least 8-10 years of hands-on experience as a BTP Integration Developer

• Perform issue analysis and defect fixing.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize integrations in SAP BTP Integration Suite and BODS
• Work with customer teams to be able to understand the business needs and requirements..
• Create technical designs for the applications based on the functional requirements.
• Collaborate with other developers, functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve highly complex technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and stakeholders, helping them understand and utilize SAP BTP Integration Suite effectively.
• SAP S/4 HANA Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, its architecture, and the latest functionalities.
• SAP BTP Integration Suite Proficiency: Strong expertise in SAP BTP Integration Suite, including tools and services like SAP Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP API Management, and SAP Event Mesh.
• Integration Techniques and Patterns: In-depth understanding of various integration techniques and patterns, such as point-to-point, hub-and-spoke, and ESB-based integration. Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous communication, as well as API-led and event-driven integration approaches.
• Integration with 3rd Party Systems: Experience in integrating S/4 HANA with third-party systems, on-premise, cloud, and SaaS applications using iPaaS solutions, like SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• API Development: Proficiency in designing, developing, and managing APIs using REST and SOAP protocols, as well as API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Industry Standards and Protocols: Familiarity with industry-standard data formats and protocols, such as XML, JSON, EDI, OData, and IDoc, as well as knowledge of integration-specific standards like AS2, SFTP, and JMS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with System integrators, teammates, onshore/offshore teams, and stakeholders.
• Worked on SAP PI/PO (PI, BPM, BRM) as the central broker in an integrated landscape.
• Experience in Data Migration methodologies, specifically around legacy to SAP migration using SAP Rapid Deployment Solutions
• Relevant SAP certifications (preferred).
