Job Title: Senior SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Consultant

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Consultant to lead and support our enterprise-wide BI landscape upgrade from SAP BO 4.3 to SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise across multiple BO versions, deep technical and functional reporting knowledge, and proven experience managing upgrades and converting reports and universes (UNV UNX) across complex multi-system environments (14+ systems).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute SAP BO upgrade activities from version 4.3 to SAP BO BI 2025, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
• Perform system analysis, planning, and strategy development for upgrade and migration.
• Plan and execute UNV to UNX conversion for reports and universes using IDT and conversion tool
• Manage and optimize multiple SAP BO landscapes (14+ systems).
• Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and universes across various business domains.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze reporting requirements and translate them into BO solutions.
• Create, enhance, and maintain BO universes (UNV/UNX) for different reporting needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams (Basis, DB, App, BI) to ensure smooth integration and performance.
• Develop and implement tools, scripts, and automation to simplify administrative and upgrade tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex BO performance, connectivity, and report issues.
• Ensure compliance with best practices, security, and governance standards.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for internal teams post-upgrade.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 9+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) administration, development, and support.
• Proven experience working across multiple BO versions, specifically 4.2, 4.3, and SAP BO BI 2025.
• Strong expertise in reporting and universe design (IDT/UDT, Web Intelligence).
• Demonstrated experience in BO upgrades/migrations, particularly from 4.3 to BI 2025.
• In-depth understanding of BO architecture, CMS, security model, promotion management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BW integration, data sources, and connectivity configurations.
• Experience in performance tuning and system optimization.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple systems and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with installation and configuration of BO in distributed environments.
• Exposure to cloud or hybrid deployments (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud integration).
• Knowledge of database systems like SQL Server.
• Familiarity with project management and documentation best practices.
• SAP BO or related certifications are a plus.
