<p>Job Title: Senior SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Consultant</p> <p>Location: Pune</p> <p>Experience Level: Senior</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP BusinessObjects (BO) Consultant to lead and support our enterprise-wide BI landscape upgrade from SAP BO 4.3 to SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise across multiple BO versions, deep technical and functional reporting knowledge, and proven experience managing upgrades and converting reports and universes (UNV UNX) across complex multi-system environments (14+ systems).</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Lead and execute SAP BO upgrade activities from version 4.3 to SAP BO BI 2025, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.</li> <li>Perform system analysis, planning, and strategy development for upgrade and migration.</li> <li>Plan and execute UNV to UNX conversion for reports and universes using IDT and conversion tool</li> <li>Manage and optimize multiple SAP BO landscapes (14+ systems).</li> <li>Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and universes across various business domains.</li> <li>Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze reporting requirements and translate them into BO solutions.</li> <li>Create, enhance, and maintain BO universes (UNV/UNX) for different reporting needs.</li> <li>Work with cross-functional teams (Basis, DB, App, BI) to ensure smooth integration and performance.</li> <li>Develop and implement tools, scripts, and automation to simplify administrative and upgrade tasks.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex BO performance, connectivity, and report issues.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with best practices, security, and governance standards.</li> <li>Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for internal teams post-upgrade.</li> </ul> <p>Required Skills & Experience:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>9+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BusinessObjects (BO) administration, development, and support.</li> <li>Proven experience working across multiple BO versions, specifically 4.2, 4.3, and SAP BO BI 2025.</li> <li>Strong expertise in reporting and universe design (IDT/UDT, Web Intelligence).</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in BO upgrades/migrations, particularly from 4.3 to BI 2025.</li> <li>In-depth understanding of BO architecture, CMS, security model, promotion management.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of SAP BW integration, data sources, and connectivity configurations.</li> <li>Experience in performance tuning and system optimization.</li> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple systems and priorities.</li> </ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Experience with installation and configuration of BO in distributed environments.</li> <li>Exposure to cloud or hybrid deployments (e.g., SAP Analytics Cloud integration).</li> <li>Knowledge of database systems like SQL Server.</li> <li>Familiarity with project management and documentation best practices.</li> <li>SAP BO or related certifications are a plus.</li> </ul>
