Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic SAP Functional
Lead – MM / WM / EWM to lead and manage SAP support
operations for a critical SAP engagement. The ideal candidate
will bring strong hands-on expertise in SAP Materials
Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), and
Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), along with solid
integration knowledge of Production Planning (PP) and Quality
Management (QM) modules.
Exposure to SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud is highly desirable. This
role demands a blend of deep functional expertise, leadership
capabilities, SAP support experience, and a foundational
understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts. The
SAP Functional Lead will be responsible for ensuring system
stability, guiding functional teams, and delivering optimized,
scalable SAP solutions aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP Functional & Support Responsibilities:
 Provide expert-level functional support and configuration
for SAP MM, WM, and EWM modules.
 Handle and resolve incidents, service requests, and change
requests in line with business priorities and SLAs.
 Ensure seamless end-to-end integration between MM / WM
/ EWM and PP / QM modules.
 Act as the primary escalation point for complex SAP
functional issues and ensure timely resolution.
 Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and
preventive measures to enhance system stability and
support quality.
 Manage configuration changes, enhancements, and
continuous improvements to meet evolving business
requirements.
 Participate in SAP rollouts, migrations, and enhancement
initiatives, ensuring minimal disruption to business
operations.
 Respond immediately to high-priority P1/P2 incidents,
irrespective of time, to minimize business impact and
downtime.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
 Lead, mentor, and support SAP functional consultants in
daily operational and support activities.
 Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather
requirements and deliver effective SAP solutions.
 Manage client communications, stakeholder expectations,
and service delivery commitments.
 Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives
across SAP warehouse and logistics processes.
 Work with cross-functional functional and technical teams
to ensure smooth and efficient SAP operations.
 Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices, support
governance models, and organizational standards.
SAP Security & Authorizations (Basic Responsibilities):
 Support the design and maintenance of SAP roles and
authorization concepts aligned with compliance and
business needs.
 Perform basic SAP user administration activities, including
user creation, locking/unlocking, and password resets.
 Assign roles and conduct basic role testing.
 Analyze authorization-related issues using SU53 and
support resolution efforts.
Requirements & Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information
Systems, Business, or a related field (master’s degree
preferred).
 Minimum 5+ years of SAP functional experience with strong
expertise in SAP MM, WM, and EWM modules.
 Proven integration experience with SAP PP and QM
modules.
 Experience with SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud is a strong
advantage.
 Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes
across procurement, inventory, warehouse, and logistics
domains.
 Hands-on experience in SAP support, rollout, and
enhancement projects.
 Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team
management capabilities.
 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication
skills.
 Knowledge of SAP best practices, ITIL frameworks, and
structured problem-solving approaches.
 SAP certifications in MM, WM, EWM, SAP Security, or
S/4 HANA will be an added advantage.
