SAP IS-U Device Management Consultant (AMI)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Device Management Consultant with strong expertise in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) . The role requires hands-on functional knowledge of SAP IS-U Device Management processes, batch job scheduling, system integrations, and collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver stable and optimized utility solutions.

The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently , handling complex IS-U scenarios, and contributing to process improvement and change management initiatives .

Key Responsibilities

SAP IS-U Device Management & AMI:

• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP IS-U Device Management , including AMI integration
• Configure, support, and optimize device installation, replacement, removal, and meter lifecycle processes
• Handle AMI-related data flows, validations, and exception management

System Operations & Batch Processing:

• Understand, monitor, and support SAP batch jobs and job scheduling related to IS-U processes
• Analyze batch failures, performance issues, and propose corrective actions
• Ensure stable system operations across billing, device, and metering processes

Integration & Process Optimization:

• Work on SAP IS-U integration with other SAP modules and external systems
• Identify gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and system performance
• Support enhancements, change requests, and functional testing activities

Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Management:

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and business objectives
• Translate business requirements into functional solutions within SAP IS-U
• Demonstrate strong awareness or hands-on exposure to change management processes
• Support documentation, impact analysis, and user communication during changes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP IS-U Device Management
• Strong exposure to AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure)
• Good understanding of SAP batch jobs and scheduling
• Experience with IS-U integrations (SAP modules and external systems)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global delivery team
