SAP MM SME – Procurement Consultant

We are currently looking to hire a SAP MM SME – Procurement & Materials Management Consultant. The SAP MM SME – Procurement & Materials Management is responsible for leading and supporting the end-to-end SAP MM processes in the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle including Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) processing, Goods Receipt (GR) , Invoice Receipt (IR) , AP coordination , Goods Movement , and internal claims handling. The role also includes managing integration points with five key satellite systems/interfaces and driving seamless data flow across SAP and external systems.

Shift : 6 am to 3 pm IST

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of strong SAP MM experience with deep functional understanding of Procure-to-Pay (PR/PO) , GR/IR , Goods Movement , AP reconciliation , and internal claims processes .
• Proven track record of designing and supporting SAP MM configurations in SAP ECC or S/4HANA .
• Experience with integration and interfaces (e.g., IDoc, RFC, API, EDI) between SAP and external/satellite systems.
• Good knowledge of cross-module integration points with FI/CO, SD, PP, WM, and related business processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing

• Lead SAP MM purchasing processes (PR, PO, RFQ, Contracts).
• Configure and support Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) creation, approval workflows, and release strategies.
• Maintain and optimize vendor master, purchasing info records, source lists, and supplier data.

Goods Receipt & Goods Movement

• Handle Goods Receipt (GR) postings and ensure inventory records are updated accurately following receipts.
• Manage goods movements (goods issue, stock transfers, transfer postings) and ensure correct material and financial postings.

Invoice Receipt & Accounts Payable

• Support Invoice Verification (IR / MIRO) including GR/IR clearing and tolerance handling.
• Work closely with AP/Finance teams to ensure vendor invoices are posted and cleared correctly.

Internal Claims

• Manage and coordinate internal claims for procurement discrepancies, returns, or internal adjustments, ensuring appropriate SAP MM process flows and postings.
