SAP PaPM Cloud Lead Consultant

Experienced SAP PaPM (Profitability and Performance Management) Cloud Consultant to lead the design and delivery of advanced financial modeling solutions. The consultant will lead the implementation of complex profitability and cost allocation models, acting as the solution expert for our stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a deep background in PaPM Cloud, SAP EPM solutions and a strong understanding of financial performance management, with the ability to bridge the gap between finance requirements and high-performance technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Leadership & Design

Lead project teams and workshops with Finance/Controlling stakeholders to define requirements for complex cost allocations, transfer pricing, and profitability analysis.

Translate business-centric financial processes into high-performing PaPM Standard (or Universal) Models.

Design and implement end-to-end financial modeling scenarios.

Create comprehensive functional specifications, process flows, and training documentation for business users.

PaPM Configuration & Modeling

Configure advanced PaPM modeling functions, including Allocations, Joins, Derivations, Calculations.

Execute complex Currency Translations and unit conversions within the PaPM environment to support multi-entity reporting.

Design and maintain Process Templates and modeling constructs .

Ensure SAC Planning integration as a secondary functional area, leveraging PaPM outputs for downstream planning and forecasting.

Integration & Delivery

Lead the integration of PaPM Cloud with SAP S/4HANA (Universal Journal), SAP SAC, and non-SAP systems.

Define data mapping logic and transformation rules.

Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the complete solution.

Manage project timelines and deliverables, providing expert guidance on PaPM best practices and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory: Proven experience with at least one full-cycle SAP PaPM Cloud implementation.

PaPM Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of Standard Models, allocation engines, and multi-level cost distribution.

Experience with SAP HANA SQL and performance tuning for high-volume calculations.

Integration Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience connecting PaPM with S/4HANA and external, non-SAP data sources.

Functional Domain: Solid understanding of financial steering, including P&L, Margin Analysis, and Profitability reporting.

Secondary Skill: Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning models, data actions, and story design.

Experience leading global project teams in an Agile/Sprint-based environment.
