SAP PP & QM Consultant

Identify business needs, systems and requirements

  • Leads in identifying business needs and system requirements
  • Leads in the in-depth analysis of the business requirements and systems specifications
  • Conduct feasibility studies on proposed solutions
  • Provide analysis to support the development of business cases
  • Support the preparation of proposals for modified or replacement systems
  • Conduct analysis on the risk and benefits for the proposed solutions

Analyse systems and propose solutions

  • Analyses systems and processes to identify enhancement opportunities to resolve system gaps
  • Evaluate the ability of an existing system to support proposed changes and identify systems deficiencies and performance gaps
  • Ensure proposed solutions and/or enhancements are aligned with user needs and requirements
  • Identify and conduct feasibility analysis of proposed solutions and/or enhancements to systems
  • Prepare proposals for proposed solutions and/or enhancements to systems

Design process model and authorization

  • Document the new process and steps in the company's modelling tool in accordance to the approved solution.
  • Coordinate the required authorizations to the SAP Authorization and ABAP Team

Configure the system

  • Document configuration in accordance to the approved solution
  • Configure the SAP PP/QM system as documented
  • Manage the transport request for the configuration
  • Peer reviews configurations and transports of other team members

Develop functional specifications

  • Leads in translating business requirements into functional specifications
  • Document specifications and interfaces between legacy and new systems, and systems enhancements and detailed specifications

Manage the implementation of new solutions and/or enhancements

  • Act as the liaison between users and SAP ABAP Team throughout the solution implementation cycle
  • Develop test plans and test cases
  • Support users on change control and systems updates and escalate issues to relevant team members for resolution
  • Document post-test evidence of expected results or defects
  • Coordinate training for new users
  • Prepare progress reports and training documents
  • Develop technical documentation of the design documents, coding documents and user manuals
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and integration testing in accordance with the implementation plan
  • Ensure adherence to project plan to ensure deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with user and system requirements

Support on the activities and Computer System Validation documentation deliverables

  • Assist on CSV ES/ER Risk Assessment and Functional Risk Assessment
  • Create User Requirement Specification
  • Create Data Migration Plan and Report
  • Create Traceability Matrix and User Training Records
  • Create SOPs for operational and retirement phases

Supports production incidents and requests

  • Actively address the open incidents in the SAP PP/QM Support queue and ensure detailed updates, follow-up and resolution and closure as per agreed service level agreement.
  • Assist business users on inquiries regarding the execution of order to cash and transportation processes.
  • Complete routine and maintenance requests as per agreed service level agreement

Improves and optimize current process and solutions

  • Analyse and Identify opportunities that could improve process, system performance and cost efficiencies.
  • Prepare proposals for process improvements and optimizations.
