The Program

Southeast Asia Leadership Program 
The Southeast Asia Leadership Program (SEALP) contributes to
greater high-level understanding and linkages between Australia and Southeast
Asia. by targeting emerging and current leaders and decision-makers across
Southeast Asia to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships, as
well as targeted shorter educational activities. SEALP’s three intended
outcomes are: 
- Alumni leaders apply their knowledge, skills and networks to
contribute to defined areas of shared interest 
- Australia has strong and enduring networks of influence
across ASEAN countries, through targeted scholarships and training 
- Alumni leaders actively engage and contribute to cooperation
with Australia. . 

The Role

As the Scholarship Coordinator you will be the main point of
contact for candidates, scholars, targeted educational activity participants
and alumni. You will be responsible for delivering high quality requirements
across the scholarship and targeted educational activity cycles including where
relevant promotion and recruitment, university placement, predeparture
preparations, mobilisation, on-award monitoring and alumni engagement.

Duties will include the following as relevant to scholarship
and educational activity requirements:
- Coordinate candidate promotion and selection processes,
including developing and circulating promotional content, delivering
information sessions, responding to queries, managing eligibility and
compliance checks, coordinating assessment and ranking, and organising
interviews.
- Coordinate scholar placement processes and university
engagement, including IELTS testing, liaising with universities, and ensuring
high-quality on-award support.
- Manage pre-departure preparations for scholars and targeted
educational activity participants, including visa application assistance,
return travel arrangements, and delivery of pre-departure briefings.
- Support scholars in-Australia orientation including
organising health insurance and temporary accommodation. 
- Provide high touch welfare and educational case management
services to scholars while in Australia and to support their return home.
- Work with the Leadership and Networking Adviser and scholars
to develop bespoke engagement programs that extend beyond curriculum, which may
include networking, visit programs, guest speaker roles and engagement with
Australian Government agencies.
- Coordinate targeted educational, scholar enrichment, and
alumni activities, including provider procurement, participant recruitment and
selection, associated administrative and logistical tasks and liaison with providers
to ensure effective delivery.
- Establish, review and improve operational systems, processes
and protocols as necessary. 
- Travel locally as required.

About you
You will possess:

- Experience working in student support services in the
international education or scholarships sector. 
- Knowledge and skills in scholarships, leadership
development, professional development and/or alumni engagement. 
- Advanced organisational skills with proven track record in
project administration or professional development/ training program
management.
- A high level of cultural awareness, ability to build
effective relationships and communicate with people at a range of professional
levels. Southeast Asia work experience and cultural literacy an advantage. 
- High level of attention to detail and capability in the use
of information systems for efficient and seamless program
administration.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivery excellence, flexibility,
responsiveness and continuous learning.
