Job Description
A school psychologist position is available at an elementary school located in Denver, CO. This full-time, onsite contract role begins ASAP and continues through May 2022. The school seeks a dynamic professional with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to support a caseload of approximately 40 students.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive psychological services, including assessments, counseling, and consultation to students, staff, and families
- Collaborating with special education coordinators and school administration to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participating in data-driven decision-making and offering expertise to promote academic, emotional, and social success
- Assisting with behavioral interventions and crisis support as needed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed or certified school psychologist with relevant experience in elementary settings
- Strong ability to articulate professional experience and skillset during interviews
- Energetic and positive demeanor that fosters a supportive school environment
- Proven skills in conducting thorough evaluations and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
This opportunity involves a two-step interview process: the first interview with the Special Education Coordinator, followed by a second interview with the school principal. Candidates who demonstrate lively engagement and clear, detailed explanations of their skills are highly preferred.
