Job Description
The School Psychologist will support district-wide special education services with a primary focus on evaluations and special education compliance. This role is heavily involved in assessment activities and requires confidence in leading and managing CSE and CPSE meetings. Candidates with prior chairperson experience or formal training are strongly preferred.
Primary Duties:

Complete psychoeducational and related assessments for initial and reevaluations

Analyze assessment results and develop thorough, NY-compliant evaluation reports

Serve as chairperson for CSE and CPSE meetings, guiding teams through eligibility and placement decisions

Maintain compliance with New York State and federal special education regulations

Consult with school staff and families regarding evaluation outcomes and recommendations

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support student needs

Manage documentation, timelines, and procedural safeguards
Preferred Experience:

CSE/CPSE Chairperson experience or formal training

Strong understanding of NYSED special education procedures

Experience working in fast-paced, assessment-heavy environments
Requirements:

Active New York State School Psychologist certification
