Job Description
A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the 2026-2027 school year supporting a K-12 supervisory union in Northfield, VT. This contract role involves providing comprehensive psychological services across the entire union, offering a blend of in-person and remote work to accommodate complex cases and report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive assessments and evaluations, including assessments for moderate autism.
- Administer school psychological services in compliance with Vermont Special Education law.
- Perform in-person testing, observations, and attend meetings for complex cases.
- Collaborate with education teams to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Prepare detailed psychological reports and communicate findings effectively.
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs within the school system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a School Psychologist within K-12 education settings.
- Strong knowledge of Vermont Special Education legislation and regulations.
- Competence in cognitive assessments and autism evaluations.
- Ability to work effectively both in-person and remotely.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid credentials and licensure appropriate for school psychology practice.
