Job Description
A K-12 public school in Berkeley, CA is seeking a licensed and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential speech and language services throughout the academic school year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites, supporting a diverse student population.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to students with various communication needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Conduct assessments and provide ongoing documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain professional standards and compliance with school district policies and state regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Valid California School Speech-Language Pathology credential or equivalent
- Experience working within K-12 public school settings preferred
- Ability to manage caseload across multiple school sites effectively
- No Clinical Fellows (CF) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) accepted for this role
- Proficiency in various speech and language intervention strategies appropriate for school-aged children
Work Schedule:
- Typically full-time hours, approximately 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, depending on assigned sites
- Start date as soon as possible; contract duration TBD aligned with the current school year timeline
