Job Description

A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support K-8 students with speech and language needs within a dynamic school environment. This contract role, based in Cedar, MN, offers an engaging opportunity to deliver both in-person and teletherapy services tailored to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy to a caseload of approximately 12 students ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade.
  • Deliver targeted therapy sessions, typically 20 minutes twice a week for most students, with adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate communication goals into the educational setting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports to monitor student development.
  • Utilize teletherapy techniques as appropriate to ensure consistent service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification and licensure in the state.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-8.
  • Proficiency in teletherapy methods and platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and coordinate with school personnel.
  • Ability to manage a part-time caseload within a flexible schedule.

Location:

  • Position is based at the Star of the North East Bethel school building in Cedar, MN.

Work Schedule and Duration:

  • Part-time commitment of 8-10 hours per week.
  • Contract duration from the earliest possible start date through June 12, 2026.
