• Role: Science Academic Mentor
• Start Date: 23rd February 2026
• End Date: Until May half term (22nd May 2026)
• Days Required: 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
• Working Hours: 7:50am – 4:10pm (7.5 hours per day, including a 50-minute lunch break)
• Subject Focus: Science
The Role – Day-to-Day Duties
As Science Academic Mentor, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils at Key Stage 4, focusing on academic progress and confidence in Science. Duties will include:
• Providing targeted 1:1 and small-group Science tutoring up to GCSE level
• Supporting pupils with exam preparation, revision strategies, and subject understanding
• Working with pupils who require additional academic intervention
• Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff
• Acting as a positive role model within the school environment
• Supporting pupils with organisation, motivation, and study skills
