Job Description
We are looking for Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Science will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, engaging digital lessons for Grade 4 and Grade 6 students, strictly aligned with the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Science Standards.
The SME will create concise, 30-minute instructional units consisting of 20 minutes of core content and 10 minutes of rigorous assessment. All development and finalization of materials will take place directly within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
Key Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise
- Demonstrate mastery of the South Carolina Science Standards (2021) for Grades 4 and 6.
- A student-facing phenomenon and mini-lesson that builds conceptual understanding
- Explicit instruction on key vocabulary and scientific ideas
- A hands-on modeling lab that makes abstract concepts visible and concrete
