Science Technician – Secondary School (Halifax)


Contract: Full-time, Term-time Only

We’re looking for an organised, practical, and science‑loving Science Technician to join a secondary school in Halifax. If you enjoy hands‑on work, keeping things running smoothly, and helping create great learning experiences for 11-16‑year‑olds, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing equipment, chemicals, and resources for lessons

  • Setting up experiments and demonstrations across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions

  • Keeping labs safe, tidy, and fully compliant with health and safety guidelines (including COSHH)

  • Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring safe storage/disposal of materials
