The Opportunity
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new, full-time role to Cochlear - Scientific Content Specialist, based at our Macquarie University Campus, Head Office. As the first person in this position, you’ll have a clear framework and direction, along with the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing refinement of ways of working. You’ll support the execution and coordination of scientific communication activities, help embed effective processes, and ensure deliverables are accurate, aligned, and high quality.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career, with a scientific or audiological degree, who’s eager to make a real impact. As part of the Medical Affairs Scientific Communications team, you’ll work closely with global, regional, and cross‑functional teams to support scientific communication activities across the lifecycle. This includes coordinating study registrations, supporting the preparation of scientific content, and assisting with conference abstracts and related activities. You’ll play a key role in helping establish and embed effective ways of working, contributing to well‑organised, high‑quality delivery to ensure Cochlear’s science is communicated clearly, consistently, and with meaningful impact for clinicians and patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate clinical study registrations across recognised public trial registries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely updates.
- Support the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of scientific evidence and content, including publications and internal evidence resources.
- Assist with the coordination and submission of conference abstracts, posters, and presentations, supporting high‑quality, compliant scientific communication.
- Help establish and refine internal processes and tracking to enable consistent, well‑organised delivery across scientific communication activities.

About You
Essential
- Degree in a medical, health‑related, or scientific discipline
- Understanding of clinical research and study design
- Ability to interpret and summarise scientific literature
- Strong writing, editing, and project coordination skills
- Familiarity with publishing standards (ICMJE)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Desired
- Experience in audiology or clinical study registration
- Knowledge of clinical research regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
