Scrap management

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and manage the entire scrap operations at our manufacturing plants in Bachau. This is a critical role that demands deep expertise in scrap handling within the steel industry, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, compliance, and revenue optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end scrap management processes across plant locations
- Manage scrap yard operations, including segregation, storage, and logistics
- Drive scrap sales through effective channels, including e-auctions and direct sales
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to scrap handling
- Coordinate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to streamline scrap flow
- Maintain accurate records and reporting for all scrap transactions
- Implement best practices for scrap valuation and inventory control
Requirements:
- Mandatory: Minimum 10–15 years of experience in scrap management within the steel industry
- Proven track record in handling large-scale scrap operations
- Expertise in scrap sales, e-auctions, and yard management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Willingness to relocate to Bachau, Bhuj
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities
