What you will be doing:

This role will be an individual contributor responsible for building and finetuning the platform components for the Observability product. The candidate will work closely with the Lead engineer, performance team, data ingestion, platform DevOps and data visualization teams under Observability product. As a member of the platform team, the candidate needs to be able to support and maintain the applications onboarded to Grafana Observability, Ingestion and visualization written in PromQL, Log queries, etc., and monitoring technologies.

This position will preferably be based out of India GCC, Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiates and facilitates project kick-off and inception activities
• Drives coordinated teams, driving technology solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product owners, architects, engineers, DevOps and quality assurance
• Partners with Product Management team(s) to develop viable roadmaps for platforms and capabilities within a portfolio to ensure that the full potential of a product can be realized
• Coordinates execution of development projects from initiation through release, using SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum concepts.
• Works within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and complete the development schedule for major product releases
• Exhibits desire to continuously learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies from teams and Agile community
• Understands Continuous integration and deployment and Exhibits ability to run projects in the Scrum and Kanban methodologies, with multiple outside dependencies and remote project team members
• Help remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
• Adopts SDLC methods, Agile values, SAFe principles
• Manages and supervises team velocity, financials, and other critical metrics in relation to the plan and published progress reports
• Maintains dependency plan between planned sprints across engineering, infrastructure, and third-parties
• Handles and appropriately raises delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiatives
• Facilitates discussions that lead to the resolution of project issues and development impediments
• May perform hands on reviews of product backlog, designs, code, test scripts and results in addressing delivery impediments or product quality issues.
• Collaborate and work with RTE to contribute to the PI planning
• Track iteration progress, contributes to design discussions and issue resolution and removes obstacles to ensure iteration commitments are met.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with SDLC standards, including ensuring deliverables across engineering teams are high-quality and clearly documented.
• Has working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery
• Exhibits a desire to continuously improve, and shows a track record of improvement
• May develop and deliver formal presentations and training programs to end users, project teams, management teams and executive management
• Mentors, guides, and supports Technical Project Managers, Agile Champions, and other team members as appropriate
• Effectively communicates with cross functional teams
• Finds opportunities to adopt innovative technologies

We are searching for someone with the following skills:

• Experience with gathering and organizing large volume of data to use for instrumentation into an Enterprise Observability solution.
• Good Knowledge and understanding of Azure foundation components e.g. App GW, APIM, Virtual Network, NSG, Load Balancer, Azure VM etc. is required.
• Team-oriented, positively contributing to team morale and willing to help.
• Learning-Focused, finding ways to improve in their field and use positive constructive feedback to grow personally and professionally
• Think strategically and proactively anticipate future problems, needs or changes in the work
• Experience with Databases Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, TSDB or similar databases.
• Azure/GCPhands-on with details around pulling observability data from managed services
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Log Analytics, App Dynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and Sitescope is preferred
• Experience in working with ServiceNow or similar Service Management tools
• Experience with managing project involving Cloud technologies in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
• Experience with managing project involving PCF, Docker, Kubernetes platform is required.
• Experience with managing project involving DevOps and CI/CD tools and processes is required.
• Experience in high-performance and high-frequency data streaming and health confirmation techniques (using Kafka etc.) and handling large volume of batch data is strongly preferred
• In-depth advanced knowledge of current monitoring tools
• In-depth advanced knowledge of at least one major cloud platform and Service Container/Instance concepts
• In-depth advanced knowledge of querying and inspection techniques for service and other types of logs
• In-depth advanced knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and software development methodologies (Agile).
• Strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect service.
• Strong ability to mentor, coach and train other application support engineers
• Self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to learn beyond formal training with a strong aptitude for delivering quality products.
• Experience managing Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions on that meet customer expectations for timeliness and quality
• Experience managing project budgets and reporting while ensuring compliance with Agile delivery platform
• Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills; Ability to effectively communicate across third parties and technical and business product managers
• Ability to get industry leading solutions to market efficiently and effectively
• Experience in clarifying objectives, dealing with ambiguity/under-defined problems, advocating for simplification, and influencing teams
• Ability to enable business capabilities through innovation
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software
• Deep familiarity and understanding of Agile practices, SCRUM, Test Driven Development, SAFe, XP, & Kanban

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:

• 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.
• 5+ years of work as a team member on a scrum project teams
• 5+ years acting as a ScrumMaster/Technical Project Manager in software development environment working with multiple SAFe Agile teams
• 12+ years of experience in managing an enterprise product with a scaled adoption at Enterprise level
• Hands-on experience with Tools and Technology is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in managing Observability projects/ Agile release teams is required.
• Experience working with Open-source platforms and Open Telemetry libraries e.g. Grafana is preferred.
• PMP Certification is Required
• SAFe Agilist and Scrum Master Certification is Required
