Description

Are you a senior technical leader interested in owning business-critical, highly scalable systems and contributing to innovation? Do you have experience attracting, developing, and supporting engineering talent for complex challenges? Are you comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives that involve both technical and business stakeholders?

The Inventory Movement, Accuracy, and Controllership team—part of Amazon Fulfillment Technologies—owns key components of Amazon’s global supply chain. We manage the movement of hundreds of millions of units from vendors and sellers through our inbound platforms, ensuring inventory is accurately received, accounted for, and ready to serve customers worldwide. Our systems operate within Amazon’s large-scale service-oriented architecture, where reliability and adaptability are essential.

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer who is interested in leading engineering teams, solving complex problems, and supporting the operation of mission-critical systems at scale.

You will be part of a team responsible for a broad suite of receive services that form the foundational layer enabling inbound fulfillment at Amazon.

The successful candidate will demonstrate technical leadership and the ability to deliver through others, with experience across the software development lifecycle—including design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and operations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a sense of ownership, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are important for this role.
