SDET + DevOps Engineer (Performance Lab Automation)

Role: Senior SDET / DevOps Engineer – Performance Lab

Experience: 6–10 years

Division: HCL Software (AppScan Product Team)

About the Role:

Looking for a hands-on SDET / DevOps Engineer to build and automate the performance test lab for HCL AppScan Enterprise.

You’ll design and execute load tests, automate environment setup, integrate tests into CI/CD, and analyse performance results.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks ; integrate with Jenkins / GitLab CI.
• Automate setup, patching, and provisioning of Liberty + IIS + DB environments.
• Run load, stress, and scalability tests using JMeter / k6 / Gatling.
• Capture metrics, logs, and traces to detect and debug regressions.
• Collaborate with Dev & QA on performance fixes and pipelines.

Required Skills:

• 6–10 yrs in Automation / SDET / DevOps roles.
• Strong scripting (PowerShell, Python or Bash).
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Exposure to Liberty / IIS / SQL DB setups and containerized apps.
• Knowledge of load testing tools and basic observability (Grafana, ELK, etc.).
